The Emile resources have been meticulously developed by a collaborative team of educators, academics, and game developers. This initiative has effectively provided games-based learning resources to over 15% of primary schools in the UK and Ireland. Each resource is grounded in comprehensive pedagogical research and undergoes rigorous classroom testing by experienced teachers.

Originating from a Knowledge Transfer Partnership and partially funded by Innovate UK, Emile was developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. The design is rooted in sound pedagogical principles. This multi-award-winning resource has demonstrated considerable impact on student learning outcomes across key stages 1 and 2 while significantly alleviating teacher workload, particularly when utilized alongside Emile's own schemes of work.

Feedback from UK teachers has been essential in refining Emile. As a result, the platform now includes:

• A Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) Emulator that offers additional controls for time limits, question selection, and pacing for slower students;
• A comprehensive spelling program aimed at statutory spelling words;
• End-of-unit and end-of-block assessments aligned with the White Rose scheme of work;
• Tools designed to assist students in intervention groups, including automatically generated knowledge gap analyses.

Emile is utilized in thousands of schools and multi-academy trusts nationwide, making it suitable for homework, classroom activities, assessments (both formative and summative), and targeted intervention groups.
